My name is Daniel Walker, Spanish Lecturer. I am well qualified and fluent in both Spanish and English Languages, due to my condition of Cuban National and Jamaican descent. I have 20 years of experience teaching all levels of the language. I also hold Russian and German Language certificates.
I have worked for the past twenty years mainly as a Spanish Language Lecturer at Knox Community College, where I have an outstanding record for being highly organized and dependable, teaching Basic, Intermediate, CSEC, and CAPE Spanish to Hospitality, Business, and Environmental students. I am certified to teach and offer a cumulative curriculum that is fun and memorable. I am passionate about teaching and always try to explore new ways to keep students engaged and interested in the lessons.
My teaching approach is the Communicative Method, supported by audiovisual materials, conversation practice, role plays, videos, songs, and other activities. I conduct both one-on-one and group tutoring lessons focusing on reading, writing, and speaking, with a particular focus on everyday life vocabulary and situations. I also impart knowledge of Hispanic cultural norms and practices as an integral part of my lessons. Furthermore, offer other services such as translations, conversation practice, exam preps, assignment assistance, total immersion learning, and cultural exchange as well as freelance content writing.
