Inter Commercial Distributors Limited (ICDL) was founded in 1994, the culmination of the dream of four friends operating in different capacities within the pharmaceutical dist ribution industry. The establishment of the company was extremely timely, coming at a time when generic ethical drugs were just being introduced and gaining acceptability in the Jamaican market. The company started business with only two companies, Apotex Canada and Roche Diagnostics Company, but quickly grew adding Scanfarm, Pharmco Inc., USA as suppliers. Today the company distributes on behalf of fourteen (14) suppliers, two (2) local and twelve (12) overseas companies. Two of the founding partners, Rae Gascoigne and Adolph “Val†Morris, still remain shareholders in the company. The principals of Inter Commercial Distributors Limited bring extensive expertise in the marketing and distribution of pharmaceutical products, as evidenced by their combined 70 years of work in the industry.
